The construction industry always keeps pace with the development of our society.      The exhibition will last for 4 months (from 11 June to 13 October 2010) and covers three main areas included ¡°Expansion of the City¡±, ¡°Construction and Living¡± and ¡°Passing on Skills¡±. There will be an in-depth exploration of the history and heritage of construction technology, as well as its relation to the living and urban development of the society. There are also displays of construction models, equipment from different periods and photos of historical value. A number of historical short video clips will also be shown at the venue.
At the Opening Ceremony, Mr Conrad Wong, JP, President of the Hong Kong Construction Association highlighted the speed of construction technology advancement in recent years and stressed that the construction technology gives an impetus to the city development and town planning.
Mr Wong hoped the exhibition could trigger youngsters¡¯ interest in construction. ¡°While the development of construction technology is moving forward, there is a need to have more young talents to join the industry and contribute to the development of the society¡±, Mr Wong said.
