The first new concept children's playground commenced work
The first children’s playground with a brand new concept of inclusive play and barrier-free facilities will open in Tuen Mun Park late next year. The Leisure & Cultural Services Department, the Architectural Services Department and various organisations collaborated to launch the Pilot Project on Inclusive Playground at Tuen Mun Park.
It will provide quality space for children of different ages and abilities to play without barriers. The playground's design has two main themes, featuring elements of water and sand. It incorporates fun components and themed facilities.
Through sand, water, light and shadow, play equipment that sways and spins, climbing frames and movable parts for knocking and touching, children can have fun while achieving balanced development of their body and mind by acquiring different skills.
