Shizimen Central Business District (Shizimen CBD) is one of the 5 major projects being launched in Zhuhai recently. The entire development will have a total CFA of 1.1 million square meters comprising office buildings, hotels, convention and exhibition centers.
     Located on the eastern part of Zhuhai, Shizimen CBD occupies a site area of approximately 5.77 square kilometers. According to plan, the development is divided into 5 zones and catered to various business activities.
     In the northern core area is Phase 1, which has launched recently. With 269,000 square meters of land, the area will be developed into a convention and exhibition center with world class Grade A office buildings, Platinum 5-star hotel, international 5-star hotel and other supporting facilities. Phase 1 will provide a total CFA of approximately 556,000 square meters and will complete within 2013 to 2014.
     Phase 1 will also comprise an over 300-meter tall building which will be the tallest in Zhuhai upon completion. The building will accommodate office floors in the lower portion and a Platinum 5-star hotel on the top floors.
     Construction has commenced recently and phase 1 of the project is scheduled for completion in 2013. The entire development will cost over RMB100 billion to build and will complete in 2015. Zhuhai Huafa Group Co Ltd is the leading consortium for the project.
