The site of the new Zhuhai Opera House is situated on the scenic Yarli Island off the east coast of Zhuhai City. With a total construction area of approximately 50,000 sq m, the complex comprises a 1,600-seat grand theatre, a concert hall with 500 seats and other supporting facilities.

     The state-of-the-art opera house is designed to world standard for performance of ballet, opera show, musical play, philharmonics, variety shows and other social functions. It is expected that upon completion, the new opera house will become a major landmark in the city and a great attraction for tourists.
     Construction has already begun and the total project cost is estimated at RMB1 billion.
