A government lot in Fanling was sold for HK$1.33 billion at a public auction being held on May 24, 2010.
     Fanling Sheung Shui Town Lot 177 at the junction of Ma Sik Road and Sha Tau Kok Road, Area 19, Fanling, was sold to World Light Limited of Hong Kong Ferry, a subsidiary of Henderson Land Development. The lot has a site area of 8,900 sq m and is designated for non-industrial purposes, excluding office, godown, hotel and petrol station. The developer must complete a minimum gross floor area of 34,290 sq m.
     Hong Kong Ferry plans to build three residential blocks on the site, offering 700 units with an average size of 600 sq ft. The total investment cost is being estimated at about HK$2.3 billion.
