Sun City to take part in Tianjin project
Sunway City from Malaysia, has signed up to participate in the ambitious 30-sq km Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City (SSTEC) project.
Over a five-year period beginning next year, Sun City plans to develop 41 hectares of land, 90 per cent residential, in the Tianjin Binhai New Area at an estimated gross development cost of RMB5 billion.
Sun City intends to build condominiums as well as a waterfront parcel with exclusive high-end villas and a retail centre within the area. Approximately 5,000 units of private housing will be built. Construction work is expected to commence in the first quarter of 2011.
