A new submarine gas pipeline connecting the northwest boundary waters to Black Point Power Station is being planned to supply natural gas from export facilities in southern Guangdong. The pipeline will be installed within an area of 49.1 hectares of foreshore and seabed in a 5 km-long trench. Work will start in the first quarter of next year and is scheduled to complete by the end of 2012.
