The Highways Department is inviting tenders for the Central interchange contract for the Central-Wan Chai bypass project.

     The works mainly comprise constructing a 220 m tunnel section in Central at the west portal, an approach road to the tunnel, an at-grade slip road, bridge deck for the Rumsey Street flyover extension westbound carriageway and the eastbound slip road D flyover, as well as widening existing Man Yiu Street and road drainage works.

     AECOM Asia Company has been appointed to design and supervise the construction works.
