Guangzhou to build the second tallest building in the world
The Guangzhou Municipal Government announced the master plan for Bai E Tan commercial district in Guangzhou City. The focus of the re-development is to construct a 600-metre high building, which will be the second tallest building in the world upon completion.
     Masterminded by well-known Singaporean planner Liu Tai Ge, the re-development plan of Bai E Tan will be catered for commercial, tourism, cultural and leisure activities. The municipal government will invest a total of RMB100 billion over the next five years, an average of RMB20 billion each year, to fuel the development including the construction of a 600-metre tall building.
     Plans of a pilot project at Yuan Xi for re-development of the old district will be also announced soon.
