Corporate fit-out project in Guangzhou completed by Woods Bagot
Woods Bagot Asia has completed the fit-out project of a major corporate office in Guangzhou.
Located on 10 levels of a 54-storey building, the headquarters of R&F Properties employs cutting-edge solutions to define it as an ideal working environment. In evolving their scheme for the office, Woods Bagot drew on their long track-record of successful office design projects, as well as the latest findings from the company’s continuous research on the mechanics of the workplace.
Distributed on 12,000 sq m of floor area - including a three-storey 15-metre high atrium, conference centre, finance and banking centre, food-and-beverage zone, conference and training zones and a number of lecture halls - the result of the Woods Bagot effort is an intriguing model of an efficient, practical and visually attractive corporate environment.
Among the most noticeable features of the space are a soothing running water feature in the lobby, an eye-catching ‘suspended conference room, and a highly symbolic bridge linking the chairman’s office to the larger working area. An intelligent distribution of interior volumes also allowed for natural illumination to stream through both management and general staff areas, contributing to an overall atmosphere of uplift and connection with the surrounding environment. Woods Bagot also thoroughly examined the office’s material and colour palette to reflect R&F Properties rising international stature.
Woods Bagot’s global portfolio of corporate fit-outs includes the Macquarie Bank in Sydney, Adelaide and London, Cisco Middle East, and the acclaimed HSBC Dubai project.
