Shangri-La unveiled hotel plan for Beijing Winter Olympics

Shangri-La Group recently unveiled plans for a 300-room hotel to be developed next to venues for the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. The project will be the company's sixth hotel in Beijing, The hotel is located in the former industrial complex of Shougang Park and will be developed as part of an urban regeneration project. The hotel site was once an energy facility that powered up steel production.

     According to an implementation plan released by the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Transport, China will commence construction of 15 national logistics hubs within 2019 in order to build a nation-wide logistics hub network. The planned national logistics hubs will be built on existent logistics hubs which have a sound infrastructure, strong market demand and huge growth potential. The two ministries will determine the locations of the first batch of national logistics hubs based on the demand of the development under national strategies like the Yangtze River economic belt and local government plans.
