The Sukhothai Shanghai is scheduled to open in April, 2018
Located in the retail and tourist hotspot of West Nanjing Road and Shimen Yi Road, The Sukhothai Shanghai forms an integral part of the HKRI Taikoo Hui mixed-use complex, which also includes Grade-A office towers and a premium lifestyle shopping mall. The hotel is scheduled to open in April, 2018.
Designed by Neri & Hu Design and Research Office, the 201-room luxury hotel marks the first foray into Mainland China’s hospitality scene by the Sukhothai Hotels & Resorts. A member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, the hotel comprises 170 tastefully designed guest rooms and 31 well-appointed suites, featuring natural materials including the environmentally-friendly diatom-silica clay wall, which is highly effective in air purification, humidity regulation and sound absorption to create a healthy and pure peaceful environment. Ranging from 44 to 172 sq m, the guest rooms are among the largest in the city.
The hotel features five dining venues and the health and wellness facilities include a 198-square-metre Fitness Studio complete with state-of-the-art equipment and a separate studio for yoga and group exercise. There is also a 25-metre heated indoor pool, sauna, steam room and a spa.
“Having established The Sukhothai Bangkok as one of Asia’s most iconic properties, we are excited to open the brand’s second property in Mainland China,” says Marcel Holman, general manager of The Sukhothai Shanghai.
