The Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology fair is set to hold its 13th edition from 9-12 June 2016. Located in Halls 6.1 and 8.1 of Area A at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou, the fair will occupy 20,000 sq m and host over 200 exhibitors from around the world. 
     Commenting on the fair, Ms Lucia Wong, Deputy General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd, expressed: "Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology is positioned as professional platform for building technologies and has grown progressively with the industry. Over the years, we strive to stay at the forefront of the market and offer enriched content at the fair that fits the market's needs. A major development in the building electrical sector are energy-efficient technologies that have been heavily incorporated into green building designs. Moreover, the growing popularity of the Internet of Things (IoT) and cloud computing has further facilitated the growth of the intelligent building and smart home industries. Through the exhibition and its concurrent events, this year's fair will once again gather leading industry experts to elaborate on the aforementioned topics in an attempt to help their peers seize new business opportunities." 
     A key highlight of the 2016 fair is the full schedule of concurrent events which gathers some of the most influential speakers from the building industry. Backed by steadfast support from industry associations, this year's fair has organised 10 seminars covering nearly 50 topics. The events will be categorised into three themes: intelligent building and smart home standards, intelligent buildings, and smart homes and smart hotels.
     The Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology, along with the concurrently held Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition, is headed by the biennial Light + Building event. The mother event will take place from 18 - 23 March 2018 in Frankfurt, Germany. 
     Messe Frankfurt also offers a series of other light and building technology events worldwide, including the Shanghai Intelligent Building Technology (SIBT), Shanghai Smart Home Technology (SSHT) and the Shanghai International Lighting Fair (SILF). Additionally, light and building fairs will also be hosted in Argentina, the United Arab Emirates, Russia and India.
