Jack So will take up the position of Airport Authority Chairman for three years from June 1, the Government announced on May 22, 2015.
     Secretary for Transport & Housing Prof Anthony Cheung said Mr So is familiar with economic, trade and transport affairs, and has rich experience in public service. Prof Cheung said he is looking forward to working closely with Mr So in maintaining the airport's status as an international and regional aviation hub.
     The government also appointed Andrew Fung, Billy Wong and Allan Zeman as authority members for three years from June 1.
     Hong Kong International Airport set new annual records last year when its passenger volume and cargo tonnage exceeded 63.3 million and 4.38 million.
