The "Galaxy" - Probably the largest crystal chandelier in the world
The unique ¡°Galaxy¡± Crystal Chandelier is located in the outdoor arrival area at the grand entrance to 39 Conduit Road, a luxury development with spectacular views of Hong Kong¡¯s Victoria Harbour to the front and the Peak to the rear.
Consisting of 773,888 individual Swarovski Crystals, the Galaxy weighs 19,000 kg and covers an area of 203.25 sq m with a maximium length of 38.236 metres. Similar to the building form of 39 Conduit Road, the Galaxy is inspired by the folding planes of a traditional Chinese screen. The folding planes of double layered crystals reflect glittering light in between, and span across the ceiling of the entire arrival area, emphasizing the glamour of the Swarovski Crystal Chandelier.
The Galaxy was designed by world renowned architect, Dennis Lau and the client is Henderson Land Development Co Ltd, a leading developer of quality properties in Hong Kong and Mainland China.
