Asia's first environmentally planned resort island

The development of Koh Rong is pioneering high-end tourism on Cambodia's idyllic coastline with planning now advancing to the very highest standards of ecological sustainability. International business magazine Forbes recently recognised three pristine Cambodian beaches,  including Koh Rong, in its ranking of "Asia's Best Beaches".

Koh Rong is located just 20 km from Sihanoukville on the south coast of Cambodia and the pristine white sand beaches of Koh Rong are surrounded by turquoise water.

Behind the visionary plan for the island is one of Cambodia's largest business, property and infrastructure conglomerates, The Royal Group. Headed by prominent tycoons Kith Meng, The Royal Group has been granted a 99-year lease by the Cambodian government to develop the island.

A team of leading international consultants has started realising the vision with a master plan designed by MAP Architects of Hong Kong, in consultation with environmental and airport consultants Scott Wilson.
