Tsing Yi logistics site to be sold
A Tsing Yi site will be sold by public tender, the Government announced earlier. Tsing Yi Town Lot No. 200 at the junction of Tsing Yi Road and Tsing Yi Hong Wan Road is designated for logistics services purposes. It has a site area of 6.273 hectares with a maximum gross floor area of 206,170 sq m for developing multi-storey port backup and modern logistics facilities, as well as providing storage space for not less than 2,200 containers, each with 20-foot equivalent units.
As announced in the 2021 Policy Address Supplement, the Government has concluded the feasibility studies for two port backup sites. The sites, including Tsing Yi Town Lot No. 200, will be released through public tender in phases starting this year.
The tender invitation will close on March 11, 2022. The land sale documents are available online.

The first harbour steps at Victoria Harbour, together with the adjacent new promenade of some 280m, will be opened at the Wan Chai harbourfront on December 24. It will extend the continuous waterfront promenade length in Hong Kong Island North by 40% to 7.4 km, allowing visitors to walk along the harbourfront area from Shek Tong Tsui to Fortress Hill. This set of harbour steps is the first fence-free stepped-down water edge design alongside Victoria Harbour as stated in the Policy Address this year. Located in the Water Sports & Recreation Precinct (Phase 2) to be opened at the same time along the Wan Chai promenade, the harbour steps are fronted by a 2.5-hectare water body separated by a breakwater.
