Situated at the top of the 437.5-meter high Guangzhou International Finance Centre, this five star plus Four Seasons Hotel commands panoramic views of the city. Guests arrive at the sky lobby on the 70th floor at the base of a stunning 30-storey atrium. Upon completion in the second half of 2010, the 374-room hotel will be the highest in the world at approximately 438 meters, with the building also including the highest bar.
Designed by architect Wilkinson Eyre, the project used over 10,000 sq m of GOMA-GX from Sanchez Insulation on the floors for the hotel among other competitors for extraordinary results and competitive price range. Sanchez also provided assistance and designing management. Sanchez GOMA-GX developed in Spain has triple function with only 10 mm thick:

Reduces impact noise
GOMA-GX is a sheet specially designed to add flexibility between the framework and the upper layer of concrete, forming a floating slab. It acts as insulation against impact noise due to the proper ties of the reticulated polyethylene.
Reduces airborne noise
The sheet of EPDM together with the sheet of reticulated polyethylene improves the airborne acoustic insulation of the framework due to the change of impedances that are produced between the two materials.
Steam barrier
GOMA-GX is a compact material with a very low steam transmission level which together with Sanchez sealing for joints creates a steam barrier between frameworks preventing the formation of dampness and mold.
GOMA-G has been used between the curtain wall and plasterboard interior partitions where the usual insulation materials could not be installed and moreover did not guarantee good results.
Some of Sanchez's major projects are:
 |
Crowne Plaza Hotel, Tianjin GOMA-GX |
 |
Wuhan Qintai Opera House IMPACT-5 |
 |
Guangzhou Shuangxi Bar GOMA-GX + TEX-1 + GOMA-G |
 |
Changtang Garden, Dongguan TEX-1 + TEX-11 |
 |
Jindu Palace, Guangzhou GOMA-GA 100.000sqm |
 |
The Ritz Carlton Hotel, Shenzhen GOMA-GX 20.000sqm |
Sanchez's extensive product list includes acoustic insulation for floors, walls, ceilings, drainpipes, etc. All developed in Spain under very restrictive acoustic regulation (CTE: DB-HR, Spanish Building Code - Protection against noise) and have also been tested by labs and the Tsinghua university. Our products are high-tech and help to reduce thickness in architectural partition designs without decreasing their insulation effectiveness over the time.
Sanchez provides project design and development, and a special engineering team is ready to provide assistance to clients to improve the quality of life!
