DESSO, one of the leading carpet manufacturers in the world, has for the first time appointed a sales team in China, underlining its confidence in the Chinese market and prospects for growth.
     The company, which has manufacturing facilities in the Netherlands and Belgium, and sells internationally, has appointed Dennis Yu as its sales manager for southern China, and Angela Lee as its sales agent for the north of the country.
     Stef Kranendijk, CEO of DESSO, said: "A recent report suggested that by 2025, 40 billion square metres of floor space will be built in China, in some five million buildings, of which 50,000 could be skyscrapers - that's roughly ten New York cities.
