Airport Authority releases Sustainability Report 2016/17
Airport Authority Hong Kong (AA) has released its Sustainability Report 2016/17. This is the AA’s first web-based report, which includes a range of features to increase its accessibility and enhance the reading experience, such as dynamic graphics, videos and interactive charts.
The report consists of four key pillars: “Our People”, “World-class Gateway”, “Our Future Airport”, and “Hong Kong People’s Airport”. These provide a comprehensive account of the AA’s sustainability performance and management approach in the fiscal year ending 31 March 2017.
Key issues covered include the innovative technologies implemented at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) to enhance passenger experience and optimise operational efficiency, a new airport-wide carbon target, and the AA’s approach to building its human capital to serve the existing operation and future expansion of HKIA.
This year’s report has been prepared in accordance with the GRI Standards: Core option and the GRI G4 Airport Operators Sector Disclosures. It has also been independently verified by Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency, thereby providing greater transparency and accountability for the AA’s stakeholders.
The web-based Sustainability Report 2016/17 is available at:
