ASHRAE, founded in USA in 1894, is an international organization of over 50,000 persons. Being an earth caring and research based society, ASHRAE fulfils its mission of advancing science, technology and engineering in heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration to serve humanity and promote a sustainable world through research, standards writing, publishing and continuing education.
 ASHRAE Hong Kong Chapter will be celebrating its 25th Anniversary in 2009 and a series of events will be organized to promote the awareness of sustainability in HVAC&R industries, under our vision of ¡§Technology for a Better Environment.¡¨
We are preparing to publish a book documenting the development of HVAC&R in Hong Kong. Important messages and articles from leading professionals and 25 selected projects will be featured to recall the advancement of HVAC&R in the region. We believe this book will provide invaluable information to our younger generation and also serves as an ovation to the engineers who have contributed their professionalism in creating a better environment for the people of Hong Kong.
